Plug-in guide
The best AI plug-in for each kind of work
For each kind of work we picked the best plug-in or built-in tool, with its exact name and where to find it. Each card shows our pick, how to get to it, why we chose it, and alternatives if you use another assistant.
Create images
- Where to find it
- gemini.google.com or the Gemini app → type 'Create an image of…' or upload a photo and ask for a change (no install)
- Why
- Makes and edits pictures from a plain sentence, including readable text inside the image, already on the free plan.
Good to know: Claude itself does not generate pictures (use the Adobe, Canva or Hugging Face connector), and Gemini images carry a SynthID watermark.

Canva Free 0 USD; Canva Pro 144 USD a year
Good to know: AI generation uses Canva AI credits, and Bulk Create needs an eligible Canva Enterprise plan.

- Builds and reads real Figma screens and components, so the mockup can be handed to any developer or web builder.
Figma free for individuals; Professional 15 USD per editor a month (12 USD billed annually)
Good to know: If you are not a designer, Claude Design (paid, beta) is the easiest start: describe the screen and it draws it on a canvas.

Organize files
- Where to find it
- Install Claude Desktop (claude.com/download) → open Cowork → grant one folder → ask, e.g., 'sort these files by project and rename them by date'
- Why
- Actually moves, renames and sorts the files in the folder you grant, and asks before deleting anything.
Claude Pro 20 USD a month
Good to know: No paid plan? Add the free, Anthropic-verified Filesystem connector in Claude Desktop: Claude can then read, move and rename files in the folders you allow. Cowork is simpler and asks before deleting. Either way, keep a backup before a bulk rename.

Good to know: Claude has no verified video-generation connector, and OpenAI's Sora was discontinued on 26 April 2026.

- Why
- Officially replaces Google Assistant as the phone's main assistant, and you can talk to it by voice and through the camera (Gemini Live).

- Why
- Creates a real native Android app from a plain description, runs it in the browser and can upload it to a Google Play internal test track.

Free SketchUp users: up to 30 models, then a paid SketchUp subscription
Good to know: SketchUp v1 only creates new models and cannot edit an existing file, Autodesk says Fusion is not yet reliable for complex models or assemblies, and we found no official CAD plug-in for ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot.
