Don't
- Edit another person's face without permission. OpenAI's usage policy forbids using someone's likeness, including a photorealistic image, without consent, and Google's policy bans impersonating a person to deceive
- Make deepfakes: a realistic image of a person somewhere or doing something that never happened
- Make or edit a passport, ID or licence photo, or fake a receipt, certificate or screenshot. For official photos, use a real photo that meets the authority's requirements
- Add damage or hide defects in construction-site, insurance or engineering documentation photos
- Change the product in a photo so the customer gets something different from what they saw
11Watermarks and labels: how to tell a photo was AI-edited
Gemini adds a visible watermark and SynthID, an invisible mark inside the image. You can upload an image to the Gemini app and ask whether Google AI made it.
